Judo / Jiu-Jitsu / Aikido Shock Wave Uniform (Single Weave Drawstring Waist), 4 or A2

This is a single weave, “bleached white” gi for Judo, Jiu-Jitsu and Aikido. This gi has a traditional “rice-grain” weave for the top and reinforced (quilted) knees for durability. It was specifically designed to withstand grappling during training and competition (it’s NOT a “karate gi”). Seams are reinforced – especially in the shoulders, lapel and sleeves – to ensure quality and durability.

It is made of 100% cotton and includes pants with a “traditional drawstring” waist. We include a white belt of matching size and also carry other belts you may be interested in (colored belts and BJJ / black sleeve styles).

Note we also carry an “elastic drawstring” waist as a separate item in our catalog. These are the same uniforms but with a different waist style. If we’re out of one style for your size, you might check the other.

While we sell LOTS of these uniforms to practitioners of Jiu-Jitsu, we also carry a very similar uniform to this that is cut specifically for Jiu-Jitsu practice. That uniform has a thicker collar, tighter sleeves and a few other differences that might be preferred. If you practice Judo or Aikido, the other uniform would probably not work as well. If you’re not sure, just ask us and we’d be happy to help in your decision.

While this is an excellent gi for the money, it is intended for beginning or intermediate students. We offer much heavier gi’s for more advanced students. These are “Shock Wave” brand uniforms.

These uniforms DO RUN SMALL compared to “standard sizes”. PLEASE be sure to check our size charts before you order. While we’re happy to make an exchange if you end up with one that doesn’t fit, we’d rather save you the hassle of doing a return.
